Any information on turtles observed with tags can be of great value. ALNITAK offers a reward of 500 Euros for any tag recoveries or photo / video of tagged turtles caught and released by fishermen. Other institutions offer similar or even greater rewards to fishers finding tags on species as the bluefin tuna.
Even tags that are not active anymore contain information that can be useful. In April 2014, "Hermes", a sub adult loggerhead tagged in the SW Mediterranean in 2012 was found in Florida and retagged by the St. Lucie Nuclear Power Plant In-water research group to observe its future movements (www.inwater.org).
